Growing strong together: firm steps to rehabilitation

In the Amigos de Jesús Home, children and youth with disabilities grow stronger through their rehabilitation services. We progress together through comprehensive interventions and physical therapy, building their autonomy and development and improving their quality of life. Our regional partner is the Amigos de Jesús Home.

The Amigos de Jesús Home has grown exponentially in its capacity to respond to the needs of low-income children and youth with disabilities. Today this need requires us to optimize the comprehensive care model to continue to provide tools for their autonomy that are on par with community needs.

Our aim is a comprehensive care model that provides autonomy to the users of the Amigos de Jesús Home. Through this project we work with their monitors and parents through training and by tracking their interventions. In addition, we are co-constructing tools that give us a more comprehensive understanding of their reality. We work with corporate volunteers from Falabella who donate materials and infrastructure for the project.

Through this project, 14 children and teens with disabilities are beneficiaries, as well as 51 parents, family members and guardians.
