I am Roberto Matus. I have a degree in economics from the Universidad de Santiago. I am currently the CEO-General Manager of the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce. Previously I was Minister Counselor and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Chile to the United States. From 2006 until 2009 I was Chief of Staff to the Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alejandro Foxley.

I am Pablo Bachelet is the Principal Communications Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he deals with press and strategic communications, and macroeconomic issues as well as strengthening the institutional capacity of the state, environmental and social safeguards, citizen security and integrity, among others. Before joining the IDB in 2008, Bachelet worked as journalist for 20 years in Santiago, Buenos Aires and Washington, writing for a variety of media including AmericaEconomía Dow Jones, where he was executive editor, Reuters and The Miami Herald. He is a graduate of Pomona College, with post graduate studies from the Institute of International Studies at the University of Chile.

Matt Clausen is the Senior VP for Public-Private Partnerships and Senior Director of President Obama’s 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund at Partners of the Americas. For 15 years he has promoted cross-border volunteering at Partners of the Americas, including hosting the 2nd IAVE World Summit for Youth Volunteering in Colombia in 2011. He served as a founding board member and Chair Emeritus of the Building Bridges Coalition, which emerged from the Brookings Initiative on International Voluntary Service, as well as working with the Center for Citizen Diplomacy, selected as a Top 10 International Voluntary Service program. He has an MA in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Psychobiology from Swarthmore College.

I have worked as a communications and brand executive for several Fortune 500 companies and have experience in brand-building, global public relations, issues and crisis management, media relations, corporate reputation, executive positioning, thought leadership, social media execution, internal engagement, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic communications. I also wrote a best seller called “El Fin de la Inocencia” related to child abuse in Chile and in 2015 I was the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for humanitarian work around the world.

Adriana Machado became the first female President and CEO of GE in Brazil, and later acted as Vice President for Government Affairs & Policy for GE in Latin America, receiving the 2013 LIDE Entrepreneurship Award as “Entrepreneur Woman of the Year”. She previously worked at the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs of Presidency of the Republic as well as the US Embassy in Brasília. She also acted as Strategic Affairs Director for the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil in São Paulo and Government Relations Director for Intel Semiconductors in Brazil. A founding member of Midas, a group for women in government affairs, she also collaborates with Mujeres Del Pacifico. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Brasília, UNB.

I am also a partner at a Design and Communications firm in Chile called Agencia Felicidad. Before, I worked in the media industry in Chile, as Editor-in-Chief of Paula magazine, and as part of the founding team of a broadcasting project – Rock&PopTV – that is still considered one of the most creative endeavors in Chilean media. I hold a degree in Journalism and another in Sociology, both from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.

I am Adrean Scheid. I am Vice President of International Relations-Latin America for UnitedHealth Group. I previously served as Vice President of Government Relations-Latin America for Millicom, Senior Director of Government Relations-Latin America for BlackBerry, and Vice President of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (where I was Executive Vice President of both the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Brazil-U.S. Business Council). Earlier in my career, I worked with the Group of Fifty, the Inter-American Dialogue, the Council of the Americas, and the Carter Center. I have a M.A. from Ohio University and a B.A. from Miami University.
